Your giving is vital.
Unlike many planning endeavors that are funded by public sources, Fondren Forward faces a unique challenge in Jackson, where public funding is not a viable option. As a result, we have made the choice to develop this campaign through private fundraising, with the hope that its powerful impact will, among other things, spur economic growth across Jackson that can eventually support projects of this kind with public dollars across the city.
Therefore, the success of this crucial initiative is entirely reliant on the support of folks like you. Because Fondren Forward is fueled by individual giving, your contribution becomes the lifeblood that sustains its momentum. Be a part of this once-in-a-generation transformative change by supporting Fondren Forward today. Your gift, no matter the size, directly fuels the progress of this community-driven initiative. Your generosity ensures that Fondren thrives as it charges into its next great chapter. Join us in this collective endeavor, and together, let's propel Fondren Forward towards a brighter, more resilient Fondren for all. Your support makes all the difference!
Donors will be recognized on our monthly Fondren Forward newsletter as a stakeholder in this important effort!
Help us reach our goal.
Thus far, we've successfully secured $275,000 in funding for Fondren Forward, strategically directing the majority towards Phase I initiatives. This initial allocation will drive the creation of a comprehensive master plan, economic development strategy, and action plan for subsequent phases.
Our goal is to secure an additional $125,000 to implement the strategies outlined in the Phase I community plan. This subsequent funding is poised to make a tangible impact on the community, facilitating the priority investments identified through Phase I planning. Improvements might include: the addition of open space amenities, enhancing streetscape aesthetics, supporting public art initiatives, installation of lighting in the business district, revitalization of blighted properties, updating zoning regulations, and facilitating improvements in façade aesthetics and neighborhood identity. Your continued support is instrumental in realizing these transformative endeavors for Fondren.
